From the Superintendent

Dear Broncho Parents,

On behalf of the entire staff at Grady Municipal Schools, I am happy to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year! We look forward to working together with you to ensure that our students can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, children need support from both home and school. This partnership will make a great difference in your child’s education. Together we share the responsibility for student success and want to assure you that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities here at school. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning at home by ensuring that he/she:

1) Attends school daily and arrives on time

2) Completes all homework assignments given

3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills

4) Informs you if additional support is needed in any area or subject

5) Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school in order to be ready for college/career choices

This year offers great promise for your child to be successful. I feel very privileged to be a part of a district where educational excellence is the expectation Pre-K-12. Your child’s teachers are committed to providing a rigorous and meaningful learning experience at every level. By working together, we will watch small children develop into young adults who have knowledge and life skills necessary to become successful after graduation.

The updated student handbook is available on the website. Please review this information with your child. If you have any questions about the rules and/or expectations, please feel free to contact me or to discuss them with your child’s teacher. It is important that you and your child are fully informed regarding standards related to appropriate behavior for a safe and productive school year.

In closing, I would just like to remind you all that “It’s Great To Be A Grady Broncho!”

Sincerely,

Elnabeth Grau
